The Bardsdale/Fillmore community was the first populated area to receive any kind of warning of the disaster coming. Nearly 3 thousand people live in the area when the flood of 12 feet roars through - two and a half hours after the dam failed 31 miles upstream from the Bardsdale Bridge.
